All persons to whom San Andreas Regional Center (“SARC”) mailed notice that on or about July 5, 2021, SARC was the target of a cyberattack in which third-party criminals gained unauthorized access to SARC’s network, encrypted some of SARC’s systems, and gained unauthorized access to the personal information of consumers (the “Settlement Class”).
A proposed Settlement has been reached in a class action lawsuit against SARC (“Defendant”). The lawsuit asserted claims against the Defendant arising out of or related to a data incident perpetrated on SARC on or about July 5, 2021, in which third-party criminals gained unauthorized access to SARC’s network, encrypted some of SARC’s systems, and gained unauthorized access to the personal information of Plaintiffs and other consumers (the “Data Incident”). SARC denies each and all of the claims and contentions alleged against it in the Litigation.
The Settlement provides for two years of free single bureau credit monitoring and identity theft protection services for all members of the Settlement Class who submit a valid Claim Form. Settlement Class Members who incurred out of pocket expenses as a result of the Data Incident are also eligible to receive monetary benefits for expense reimbursement. Please visit www.SARCDataSettlement.com for a full description of Settlement benefits and more information on how to submit a Claim Form. The deadline to submit a Claim Form is April 12, 2023.
